Amanda Flippin began her martial arts journey at just four years old, training in Tae Kwon Do, where she eventually earned her Black Belt before taking a break to focus on basketball during her school years. In 2009, she returned to combat sports, diving into Mixed Martial Arts at Rowlett Martial Arts Center, where she earned her Blue Belt under Erik Boranian. Since then, she has trained at several gyms across the DFW area, including Texas Elite MMA in Denton where she fought twice in the cage (MMA), Star Jiu Jitsu in Carrollton, Next Generation MMA-where she earned her Purple Belt under Chris Brennan-Corvo Martial Arts, and Wolfpack MMA in Wylie, where she received her Brown Belt under Quaint Kempf.
Her passion for Jiu Jitsu and striking led her help co-found New Concept BJJ alongside her husband and No-Gi Coach, Caleb Flippin, when the opportunity was presented. In addition to her role at New Concept BJJ, she is the manager and a personal trainer at Greater Than Performance & Rehab, located just next door. Her expertise extends beyond the mats-she has years of experience in facility operations and management, ensuring every member and visitor has a top-tier experience.
Outside of the gym, Amanda enjoys spending time with Caleb and their daughters, embracing the everyday moments that make life meaningful.
