What You’ll Learn
No‑Gi Jiu‑Jitsu refers to submission grappling without the traditional kimono (gi). Instead of relying on cloth grips, students develop body control, positional awareness, and submissions using underhooks, overhooks, frames, and technique.
At New Concept BJJ, we combine the technical foundation of Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu with the modern innovations of American Jiu‑Jitsu—a style influenced by wrestling, top pressure, and transitional movement common in today’s No‑Gi competitions.
Classes include instruction, drilling, positional sparring, and live rolling.

Progress With Structure
We offer a structured path for progression. Students can track their development through our “Path to Blue Belt”, which outlines key skills, concepts, and benchmarks needed to advance in rank.
You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for free weekly technique videos, training concepts, and class highlights to support your learning both on and off the mats.
Judo‑Jitsu Integration
Stand-up grappling is an essential component of our program. Our Judo‑Jitsu training focuses on balance, off-balancing (kuzushi), grip fighting, and practical takedowns that translate directly into No‑Gi settings. Students learn to safely enter takedowns, control the transition to the ground, and maintain positional dominance.
Wrestling for Jiu‑Jitsu
Wrestling plays a key role in our curriculum. Students learn takedowns, takedown defense, hand-fighting, and mat returns adapted for Jiu‑Jitsu. Instruction emphasizes movement efficiency, chain wrestling, and building pressure from top positions. These skills are essential for both competition and real-world application.
